An Update on Our Policies & Procedures

The health and safety of all Meadowrun Affordable Pet Care employees and clients are of utmost importance and we wanted to provide you with information about the proactive planning measures and actions we are undertaking. We know issues like this can be stressful and we are saddened for the people and families who have been affected.

We will remain open during our regular business hours and will continue to welcome your sick or healthy pets into our hospital but will request that clients who have symptoms of an infectious respiratory disease like a cold or flu to stay at home.

We do offer both drop-off and curbside service for appointments and prescription pick up. Please be sure to let our staff know when requesting/confirming your appointment. We will also do what we can to answer your questions by phone or email.

Our staff will continue practicing good sanitation measures, especially when dealing with these situations. All measures to be taken include limiting access to the building, putting clients immediately into exam rooms, hand washing after every client, cleaning all counter surfaces and credit card machines, door handles, pet carries, etc. We have equipped our examination rooms and front desk with hand-sanitizers, and we ask that both employees and clients do their part in protecting themselves and each other.

We ask that you please focus on taking care of what you can control:

  • We are asking that anyone who feels ill in any way, including having a fever of 100 degrees or higher within 24 hours, please stay home until you recover.
  • Your best defense is to wash your hands often, especially before eating and before/after use of communal electronics, with soap and water for at least 20 seconds. When soap is not available, use an alcohol-based hand sanitizer that contains at least 60 percent alcohol.
  • Wash hands or use hand-sanitizer after blowing your nose and to discard tissues into the trash immediately after use.
  • Avoid touching your face, especially eyes, nose, and mouth.
  • Avoid close contact with people who are sick
  • Additionally, we strongly encourage all clients to review the CDC’s website for prevention tips and signs of symptoms before visiting our hospital.

Thank you for helping to provide a safe environment for everyone visiting Meadowrun Affordable Pet Care and our community. Please take care of yourselves and your furry families!
